In April 2009, Ultimate Smile Spa opened the only UK Breezcare Breath Clinic.
The UK Breath Clinic, along with its global counterparts, offers the only test in the UK that harnesses oral gas diagnostic technology, otherwise known as Halicheck, to pinpoint the specific volatile gases that constitute bad breath. Previously bad breath could only be analysed subjectively through smell or basic tests, there were no tests that could measure all the bad breath gases individually..... until now!
Patients to The UK Breath Clinic in Manchester will receive a three-pronged treatment covering:
- Diagnosis – using a Halicheck gas chromo graph and saliva examination to ascertain pH acid levels, saliva volume and buffering capacity.
- Balance – balancing the mouth and throat bacteria using scientifically proven products.
- Maintenance – restoring and maintaining a healthy balance of good bacteria.
At your consultation a full record of your eating patterns, diet and lifestyle are recorded along with your oral hygeine regime at present. A sample of the breath is taken, from which you will be given a written record of which gases and how much of each gas are present. Dr Knight will then prescribe specific products to combat the problem. You are invited back to the clinic in Manchester a month later to have another test in order to compare the results from before and after treatment (this second test is included in the consultation fee). The cost of a consultation is £150 and the average person will spend around £60 - £80 on products.
