Implants
Dental Implants Manchester
Many people experience missing teeth, which is generally caused by poor oral health and gum disease or an accident. Having a missing tooth can be problematic for people and cause:-
- The adjacent teeth to drift trying to fill the gap left by the missing tooth
- Your jawbone to resorb and shrink, making your face appear prematurely aged
- Loss of self confidence, inhibiting smiling and talking in public.
Dental implants can help eliminate any of the side effects of having a missing tooth.
What is a dental implant?
A dental implant is a titanium screw which is placed into the jawbone to act as an artificial root. Titanium is biocompatible, meaning that bone will grow onto and around the dental implant providing a stable base which a crown or bridge can then be safely secured onto.

Dental implants have many advantages compared to traditional solutions for missing teeth such as dentures and bridges:-
- Healthy teeth adjacent to the gap do not need to be prepared (filed down) to support a dental implant like they would be for a bridge.
- By inserting an implant into the jawbone it stimulates bone tissue and gum ensuring an aesthetically pleasing result, whilst helping to maintain facial structures.
- Dental implants are a secure permanent tooth replacement, which require no cements/glues to hold the replacement teeth in place.
- They eliminate the discomfort, insecurity and embarrassment of loose and ill-fitting dentures
How much is a Dental Implant?
A single implant and crown costs £2200, however if you have 2 or more teeth missing it does not mean each missing tooth will cost you £2200 each. We will often use a combination of implants and bridges or implants and fixed dentures. A full cost estimate will be given to you at your consultation appointment.
